Sketchnote: Jessica Chalmers on Gaming - What Parents Need To Know

Gaming is a massive part of our children’s lives but, as a parent, it can feel overwhelming.

On 22nd May 2025, Jessica Chalmers led a WorkLife Central workshop to addresses parents' concerns and to help ensure children are gaming safely. In the one hour session she explored: the benefits of gaming, how to set up family controls on your gaming devices, strategies to manage screen time peacefully and the impact that playing violent video games can have on children's behaviour.

Sam Warburton, content creator and illustrator, created this Sketchnote capturing the main points from the Workshop.
