Events roundup: October 2017

It is a busy time for Cityparents events with a number of seminars diarised in the lead-up to Christmas and year end.

We hope that you enjoyed our career topics looking at Career Resilience and Creating your Elevator Pitch.  Parenting topics have included Teenagers, Building children’s self-esteem, Positive Parenting, How to choose the right school, Real cost of childcare and Positive Parenting.  Our upcoming seminars include Exam Matters and Numeracy Matters with Educating Matters - at these seminars Rachel Vecht will help us support our children with their learning as we negotiate these learning milestones (especially helpful as the teaching and learning methods for a lot of these topics have changed since we were all at school!).

Anti-bullying week is coming up, running from 13th – 17th November.   We welcome you to show your support to this great campaign by using the hashtag #AntiBullyingWeek and by participating on Wear Blue Day on Friday 10th November.  Anita Cleare will be presenting on this topic on Thursday 16th November so we hope to see you at that event.

We were delighted to have Hanneke Smits present for us at the start of October.  Please take a moment to read more about her later in the newsletter.

Are you and your colleagues supporting Men’s Health Awareness month by growing a mo in Movember?  If so, please do send us your before and after photos!

We are currently planning the 2018 diary and already have some new topics locked in as well as repeating our popular events. These are now published on the Events page of our website soon so have a browse!  If you have any topics that you would like to be considered for next year or you are interested in hosting one of our events in your office, please get in touch with Milly.
