Parents of LGBTQ+ Teens & Young Adults
Connect with others facing similar situations, experiences or challenges.
WorkLife Central’s Support Group for Parents of LGBTQ+ Teens & Young People is a welcoming space for parents of teenagers and young adults who identify as LGBTQ+. Bringing together parents, the group offers an opportunity to share experiences and support one another through different stages of their child’s journey. Many parents come to the group to talk openly about their feelings, challenges and changing expectations, in a space where others understand and can relate.
The group discusses a range of topics, from coming out to wider friends and family, to navigating identity changes such as pronouns and names, supporting trans and non-binary young people, understanding healthcare pathways and legal processes, as well as sharing experiences of emotional adjustment and social support. This open and supportive group is always happy to share it’s experiences and advice. This is a live group video call and you'll need your camera and microphone switched on for this session.
